Genesis Drilling is a planning, analysis and risk evaluation tool for drilling operations.
Genesis Drilling is a productivity tool for drilling operations, ranging from comprehensive time analysis to planning new wells. Ultimately it assesses the overall campaign performance and benchmarking.
In addition to this, its unique quality control and operational coding system turns the cluttered data, companies are bound to accumulate, into neat and reliable sets of data that can be used for extrapolation when planning new wells. Furthermore, it puts companies in the position of consistently comparing data between wells. Genesis Drilling has already demonstrated these benefits to customers around the world.
Genesis Drilling software has 3 modules to help clients: Analyzer, Designer and Data Entry System (DES). All modules are entirely customizable allowing a user to change units and plot setups.
Analyzer
Genesis Analyzer allows the user to capitalize on historical data by identifying potential areas of improvement for future drilling operations. It will also allow the clients to compare the performance of a well that has just been completed to similar wells in the surrounding area. With Genesis Analyzer, our clients will enjoy such benefits as time and cost reduction.
Designer
Genesis Designer allows the user to plan a well and quickly generate time-versus-depth data and an Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) that are based on selected historical wells. Quality controlled data is utilized to derive probability distributions for well execution times and subsequent costs for the planned well.
Data Entry System
Genesis Data Entry System (DES) provides the tools to capture and quality control drilling data. A quality assured, integrated data set allows the users to derive the expected results from historical drilling data and contribute to the learning of the organization.
GENESIS DRILLING BENEFITS:
Once operational data is loaded into Genesis Drilling, engineers and managers would be able, for the first time in company history, to understand their past experience and use this knowledge for future operations.
The Genesis Drilling concept is based on a constant feedback loop where a systematic approach will lead on to an overall process improvement.
Reduce Time and Cost - Genesis can save companies the time and cost needed for drilling operations by helping them better understand their track record of past experience and by thus reducing the non-productive time in addition to streamlining all other productive operations.
-
Learning Curve - This tool is used to identify whether the company is improving or not over time as regards operation time in every category of activity.

-
Post Analysis - is used to concentrate on problems and operations that matter most and also to compare against what had been planned. It allows for an enormous number of plotting capability giving users the power to dissect the data.
-
Trouble Analysis - Trouble has to be understood in order to be prevented from occurring in the first place. Genesis provides trouble analysis using tools such as learning curve, distribution plot, post analysis, log browser, time-versus-depth analysis, etc. Once the trouble has been analysed, engineers can identify the sources for trouble and come up with solutions for the next wells.
Mitigate risk for new wells - Genesis can produce a sound time-and-cost plan for new wells based on previous performance in similar wells and based on engineers' experience in drilling such wells.
-
Designer - quickly allows engineers to produce a Time-versus-Depth curve for a new well based on operational times from off-set wells drilled under similar conditions. This statistical curve, is used to project the AFE costs, moreover in time-dependent items. Ultimately, the statistical AFE would give managers a clear view of variance in costs based on variance in time it would take to perform the operations.

-
BCT (Best Composite Time) Analysis - is used to obtain the possible technical limit to be achieved from a set of wells drilled under similar conditions.

Profound understanding of a company's efficiency - Genesis can provide parameters to allow companies to measure their efficiency within their components (rigs, well type, sub-contractors, etc) and against other companies.
- Benchmark Analysis - Allows users to identify where the company has been efficient in terms of time in different areas. For example, how efficient one rig is compared to others, regarding total time, trouble time, or even for specific operations. This allows managers to pinpoint exactly where the efficiencies are and use them for the benefit of other, less efficient, process.

-
Bit Performance - One of the key aspects in drilling is the use of bits. Genesis provides a comprehensive bit-performance analysis across many wells, so engineers can fully understand the performance of each bit used and draw conclusions for future usages.
