Genesis Drilling (Analyzer)

Genesis Drilling Analyzer: an advanced historical drilling data analysis tool.

Genesis Analyzer provides the capability to capitalize on historical well data by identifying potential areas of improvement in future drilling operations via comparisons between the performance of recently drilled wells and similar wells in the surrounding area.

Genesis Analyzer is the start of a process to reduce costs by improving forecasting and drilling efficiencies.

Genesis performance analysis follows sound methodology, utilizing existing (historical) information in the most effective way possible. Instead of trying to locate important information in lengthy reports, Genesis Drilling Analyzer allows users to quickly and effectively visualize and review relevant information on any specific item.

Genesis Drilling (Analyzer) Benefits include time saving and cost reduction via:

  • A clearer understanding of past experience (with Learning Curve, Post and Trouble analyses);
  • The mitigation of risk for new wells via problem analysis in previous wells to prevent recurrence via Trouble Analysis Tools.
  • Efficiency measurement and maximization within specific components (rigs, well types, sub-contractors, etc) Setting benchmarks for comparison against intra-company groups and other competitor companies.
  • Clearer identification of key information utilizing Genesis tools to cross-reference data (using Browser and Filtering) to assist with single and multi well analysis, facilitating the selection of the offset wells.

ticksmall.bmpThe Learn Curve Module - Provides the effective utilization of historic drilling operations data to provide multi-well analysis. This is a great organizational learning tool which can also be used as a yardstick to determine potential areas for improvement and for evaluation of the potential impact of new technologies on future operations.

ticksmall.bmp Log Analysis -  The Genesis Log Browser displays various well log data, combining geological and geophysical information along with depth related drilling information. This visual aid enhances the comparison of drilling parameters taking into account depth intervals and geological sequences.

Bit, casing and free text query information can also be displayed on the same plot, allowing in-depth analysis and comparison.

ticksmall.bmpBenchmark Analysis - Clearly identify company and department efficiencies in terms of time in different areas with Genesis Benchmark Analysis. For example: the efficiency of one rig compared to others, with respect to total time, downtime, or even for specific operations, pinpointing efficiencies which can then be used instead of other, less efficient, processes.

ticksmall.bmpTechnical Limit (Best Composite Time) Analysis - The Best Composite Time module quickly generates a theoretical Time Vs Depth curve, which depicts Technical Limit possibilities in drilling future wells.

Genesis Drilling Analyser’s Best Composite Time (Technical Limit) is generated based on a set of offset wells, leading the user to obtain a customizable table, allowing the analysis of drilling operations and respective times in detail.

The Beso Composite Time (BCT) composer is a flexible utility which allows well design based on the quickest operations from a selection of real wells.

ticksmall.bmpBrowsing and Filtering - Genesis Browser provides the capability to view large amounts of well data, utilizing several filters to select specific wells for single and multi-well analysis including:

      • Trajectory
      • Mud Type
      • Bit Type
      • Bottom Hole Assemblies
      • Casing and Cementing
      • Time versus Depth
